Comparative Flame Test
A simple flame test demonstrates the relative perfomance of biodiesel in comparison to petrol diesel.
Preparing samples for flame test.
Samples: Diesel, Diesel/Biodiesel Blend, Biodiesel, Vegetable Oil.
Lighting up the samples. Take note of the smoke.
Flames dying down. Oil sample did not light up.
Diesel residue.
Diesel/Biodiesel Blend and Biodiesel residues.
Smoke emission as well as the supposed engine deposits can be visibly reduced by using biodiesel.
