Dear Sir, This website was very useful for me. Kindly tell me whether we can manufacture Biodiesel using Veg oil, Methanol and HCl? If I wish to have 100 L/hr Biodiesel then what will be my Feed composition?

To jvm13,
But if you're going to use biodiesel blended with petrodiesel then there's no need for any modification needed.

To jvm13,
If your fuel lines are made of rubber then you will have to replace them with something that won't dissolve in biodiesel like chemical hoses.
Best, chris

To jvm13,
I respectfully suggest that you try small bottle batches with fresh oil first. I believe that the information provided in this website is sufficient enough to try it for yourself. It will be a complete waste of time to go out of your way for a visit and be overwhelmed by the challege when there is none. Thanks.

Hi Chris,

We are in the initial stage of building our 90-Liter biodiesel processor, small compared to 1000-L.

I've sort of use your site to show my partners how to make biodiesel in small quantities. After they familiarized themselves with the process, we will try to make biodiesel from this processor.

Based on my research, the ultimate factor in making this project not that profitable is the price of waste vegetable oil. These big fastfood companies still wants to make a lot of profit by charging exorbitant prices for their waste. I hope you would be able to get cheap sources of wvo. We are also looking for ways to get it for free.

yup. I personally haven`t encountered biodiesel before, just read from literature, but I`d like to try making up some in the future though. Yup, that is the present concern with regards to ethanol production as of the moment.
